Reviews and Ratings
The hotel room was spacious, well-furnished, and immaculately presented, adding to the quality and comfort of the stay. The service was exceptional, tailored to our needs and requests for a special evening. The location was perfect for walking around Ayr, though some noise from catering equipment caused slight disturbances. The dining experience had its ups and downs with a superb menu but some cooked food being unsatisfactory. Overall, it was a comfortable and friendly stay with a few minor drawbacks.
Staying one floor up in the annex wasn't ideal, especially being close to a busy road, but the exceptional rooms made up for it. The outstanding service, with a bit of a hiccup in expensive bar prices, and the convenient location for our needs were definite highlights.
The hotel is ideally located on the Ayr racecourse campus with a big room featuring a superking bed and excellent facilities like a smart TV and iron. The view is delightful but be cautious with towel placement. The restaurant experience was a mix of highs and lows with lovely food but some disappointments. Service was friendly but somewhat disorganized. Rooms are spacious but the beds could be comfier for those who prefer a double over twin setup.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were all immaculate, especially our suite in the main building. It had a blackout blind which ensured a good night's sleep. The space was excellent with a lovely en suite featuring a bath and shower, although it would have been even better with a fridge to keep our milk fresh. The staff were very friendly and attentive, making our experience even more enjoyable. The location was beautiful and immaculately kept, albeit a bit noisy in the early morning due to staff movement. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with some dishes not meeting expectations, although the menu offered superb options. The facilities were top-notch, adding to the overall appeal of the hotel.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms, although beautifully decorated and spacious, were very cold even with the heater on. Unfortunately, issues like water leaks and a broken toilet seat added to some discomfort during the night. The lack of coffee in the room and small duvets didn't help either. On the bright side, the service was exceptional, with Marc behind the bar being especially friendly and helpful. The location, while beautiful with gardens perfect for photos, had some noise disturbances early in the morning. Dining was hit or miss as the wait times were long, but the meals were enjoyable when finally served.
The hotel offered excellent and luxurious rooms that were exactly what we were looking for, although they were on the small side. However, it would have been nice if breakfast was included. Unfortunately, the room windows couldn't be opened due to the noise and smell. The service was top-notch with very friendly and helpful staff, especially the night team. The location was decent, although a bit like a playground and some areas needed improvement to match the rest of the room standards. Dining was a mixed experience with good choices but came at an unexpected extra cost. The price in December 2021 was £279, slightly on the higher side. Facilities were satisfactory with room for improvement. The enthusiasm and vitality of the local staff added a nice touch to the overall experience.
The hotel offers a spotless, roomy, and comfortable stay, although it was a bit away from the main hotel area, which could be noisy with people coming in and out. The bar lacked Cointreau on a Saturday night, and the cleanliness needed improvement.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel located right on the edge of Ayr Race Course. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had everything needed for a comfortable overnight stay. The breakfasting room was great, but it would have been even better with a fridge to keep our milk fresh. The service was top-notch, the staff were really friendly, and they even changed our room to the ground floor upon request. The location was perfect for my needs, being close to Ayr Race Course with ample car parking. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with some delicious dishes but needing better organization. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
